Dia del Ñoqui

A short stay in Buenos Aires but then again, when is a visit to Buenos Aires ever bveen enough time... Im told is gnocchi day tomorrow (every 29th) so when Miguel (my cousin) arrives tomorrow guess what will be for lunch, yes, choripanes!! j/k Im actually a bit worried he might want to try Hooters, hes quite a fan, you know...
Im glad I came ahead of time. Im not big on cities but Bs Aires has a magic of its own, a blow of life per say. I just spent an hour sitting on a park bench watching the river go by, isnt life beautiful?!?!
Head down to Rio Gallegos tomorrow and the cycling starts on monday...

I party with Pepe Vasquez!!!!

Of course to most of you it won't mean a thing but I could not begin to tell you how importat he's been for our afro music. He's just it...
I even shared a tear or two (couldnt quite tell you as I was cachina out that night) as I sang the Jipy Jay to the top of my lungs with two extremely beautiful girls and it was thanks to them that we managed to somehow make friends with the band (actually I know how) and get driven to the hotel where the whole group was staying, a short shower in the pool, share some words with Pepe and some more laughs with the band ...awesome... I tell you, Im not washing my hands again....

A little relax the next day at Huacachina maybe even go visit a witch or two at Cachiche, a most adorable kid told us the story but hardly anything was understandable, oh well, nice sights nonetheless. Ohhh, how pretty my country can be when it wants to....

Festival de la Vendimia 2008

In Ica for the Vendimia!!! Plenty of cachina and pisco for me!
Ica has, after all, pull another Vendimia, and being that I live just 4 hours away, couldn't afford to miss it. In my daily battle against the people who think that pisco comes from Chile I couldnt miss the birth of Pisco's brother: chingerito. Next time you come, make sure stop by and try one. Till next year then Ica...
