One word for Kiev : hilly! and its , as I see it, where it derives its beauty from. Hill after hill dressed in between by odd ends: palaces, chimeras, houses on end, a park with Gaudi-like statues, out-of-wood made sculptures and the impressive Rodina Mat (motherland) who holds the best view point in town.
